MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling with Dermapen

Microneedling is a skin needling device which is a known fractional form of skin resurfacing or skin rejuvenation. This form of treatment uses ultra-fine needles which penetrate the layers of skin allowing collagen to regenerate whilst allowing transdermal topical applications to penetrate the skin.

Needling has been known for some time but microneedling is a relatively new concept. The fine needles pierce the skin multiple times a second that induces an immune response. This forces the skin to repair itself increasing the Collagen and elastin which is often lost through aging.

Dermapen is a sterile procedure and can only be carried out by trained professionals. Treatment is carried out with a Medical grade microneedling pen. A serum is used whilst carrying out the procedure to allow a smooth movement across the skin. The treatment can have amazing results on scar tissue, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, stretch marks etc.

For an additional cost mesotherapy can be added which can enhance the treatment results. This can be discussed at consultation.

Consider Mesotherapy needling treatments for excellent results on a wide range of skin conditions.

Medical Grade Microneedling

So what makes this different from Microneedling?

At Erasure Skin we use Medical Grade Dermapen to help promote Collagen and Elastin by stimulating  the fibroblasts into regeneration. Microneedling allows other more noticeable common skin issues to be treated, such as milia, pigmentation and acne, as well as other irregularities.

A 12-16 needle cartridge lightly penetrates the skin at various depths of 0.5mm to 2.5mm, dependent on the part of the face and body treated. We use Hyaluronic acid serum to help add up to 1000 times normal moisture to the skin (moisture loss affects skin look and quality). This can give a 'plumping' effect, helping those fine lines look less visible to the naked eye. 1 to 3 treatments is anticipated for best results.
